Access: From State Highway 50 west of Poncha Springs about 1 mile County Road 250 goes north into the BLM. About 4 miles up you will come to the Forest Service Boundary at the third cattle guard. This is a good place to park.
From the cattle guard the road splits. 251 to the right and 250 to the left. Either road takes you to Blanks Cabin Trailhead. This easy to find run is all on road. Once at the trailhead you may want to extend your run by taking the Colorado Trail either direction out and back. Both roads to Blanks Cabin Trailhead are 3 miles long or 6 mile round trip. It makes a great loop with moderate elevation gain.
