2024 Chaffee County Running Club Racing Series!

The club has something new for 2024…a Race Series that includes 15  Chaffee County’s trail and road races!!!

The series is exclusive for CCRC club members.

Races in the series include:

March 30 – Most Eggcellent 5K/10K (BV)

April 20 – Spiral Drive 4 Mile (Salida)

May 28 – Spirit Trail Race (BV) – Marathon/Half Marathon/8K

June 13 – FIBArk Hillclimb (Salida)

June 15 – FIBArk 5K/10K Road Race (Salida)

June 16 – FIBArk 10K Trail Race (Salida)

June 29 – Methodist Mountain Ultra 30K/50K (Salida)

July 4 – Buena Vista Freedom 5K (BV)

July 13 – F Street Mile (Salida) – pending permits

July 27 – National High School Trail Championship and Beas Knees Citizen’s Race (Salida)

Sep 21 – BV Autumn Run (BV) – Marathon/Half Marathon/10K/5K

Sep 22-24 – 14er Fest (BV)

Oct 26 – Hallowiener 5K (BV)

Nov ? – Two Turkey Relay (Salida)

Nov 28 – BVSC Turkey Trot 5K (BV)

Nov 29 – Christmas Mountain 5 Miler (Salida)

Scoring:

  • Female and Male Categories
  • Points as follows:
    • All CCRC members are entered. Races run before joining CCRC do not count.
    • No min/max number of runs.  All runs count towards your point total.
    • Each race distance is divided into male and female categories.
    • Only CCRC members are counted in the scoring.
    • Each runner receives points based on their CCRC position in their category and the number of CCRC members finishing the race.  If the race has ten female CCRC finishers, the first CCRC finisher receives 10 points down to the last CCRC finisher who receives 1 point.  Higher CCRC participation means more points. Each race distance in an event will be scored separately.
    • An additional 2 points is awarded to the first CCRC finisher in each age group – 14 age groups (1-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39,40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
    • Because of the Two Turkey Relay format, all CCRC competitors will receive 3 points for participating.  No other points will be awarded for the race.
    • The top 3 female and male total point getters at the end of the year will receive prizes.

Prizes:

1st – $100 & an award

2nd – $75 & an award

3rd – $50 & an award

All non-winners will be entered in a raffle for prizes.  You will have one chance to win for each race you run in the series.

All you need to do is enter and finish the races.  The club will filter the results for all CCRC members.  Results and standings will be emailed and posted on the CCRC website.
