Things have changed very quickly around Chaffee County in the past week, and we hope everyone is doing well. A few updates about running in Chaffee County are included below.
All organized CCRC group runs are currently suspended until further notice.
The Spiral Drive Run, which was scheduled to take place on April 25, is now postponed. New date TBA.
There are still a few small things to work out, but the Run Through Time has been rescheduled for October 11. An email will be sent to all participants very shortly with more details.
A notice to out of town runners that the Chaffee County Department of Public Health has issued a statement on visitors. This statement reads: “Visitors of Chaffee County are directed to return home immediately, and persons considering visiting Chaffee County should remain home to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.” Be advised that many other mountain communities near Chaffee County have issued similar statements.
We know this is a very difficult time for a lot of people right now, and we wish you all well. We hope everyone has been getting a chance to get outside and go for a run, hike, or walk. We’ll look forward to getting together for group runs and welcoming out of town runners to our community in the future!
